How does judging work?

The two finalists will be chosen based on a combination of the community's online votes and the criteria of the Voto Latino judges, who will weigh on-screen presence and responses to the contest entry questions. Find out more details on the contest.

How do I update my profile?

Log in to your account with your email address and password. Click "Edit" by your Log In box. You can replace your photo and edit your written responses here. However, once your video is uploaded, it cannot be changed.

Do I have to pay my own way to the conventions?

Nope. The winners will receive all-expense paid trips.

Where do I get the banner to promote myself to my friends?

For contestants, we have created a banner that you can use to promote yourself and get people to vote for you. After you have logged into your account, look for the "Promote Yourself" link by the Log In Box in the upper right hand corner. Click on this link and you will find the promotional banner and the embed code to put on your MySpace, Facebook or other social networking site.

When does the contest end?

The last date for submissions is May 6th, 2008. The last day to vote for contestants is June 18th, 2008. Check out the Rules for more details.

Why do I need to register to vote?

You must register to vote so we can ensure that you only vote for 1 contestant once a day. It's only fair! You can feel free to vote for multiple contestants, but only once per day.

How does my vote factor in with the judges' decision?

Your vote is important! Judges will choose the winners based on total community votes received, their on-screen presence and responses to the entry questions. Check out the Rules for more details.

When does the online voting begin and end?

Online voting begins on May 7th 2008 00:00:00 PST and ends on June 18th, 2008 11:59pm PST. See the Contest Page for information on other important dates.

How many times can I vote?

You can cast one vote per day for as many contestants as you like.

Can I vote for myself?

Of course! If you signed up as a contestant, you can vote for yourself daily. Don't forget to show your support for others too!

Make sure you have confirmed your email address. If you haven't done so, click here and we will resend your confirmation.
Check to make sure you are using the correct password and username.
Clear your browser's cookies and temporary internet files and then try logging in again.

Click here and enter the email address that we have on file for your account. We will email your password to that address.

How do I change my password?
